1. Identify optimum manpower (human resources or human talent or human capital) & organizational structure requirements to meet EDC’s long term strategic plan and annual business requirements.
2. Ensure a high degree of selectivity in recruitment process of employees explicitly on the criteria of their knowledge, experience, skills and attitudes to match the individual to the job.
3. Identify learning & development needs for all managers and employees at regular intervals to meet EDC competency standards. And conduct continuous training and skill development (in-house or external training) to meet learning & development needs.
4. Value and promote diversity in work place to enhance the creativity of the organization and sustain the growth of company’s business.
5. Ensure employees are provided with competitive Compensation and Benefits matching with industry standards to ensure that employee turnover is kept under control.
6. Provide adequate & regular Recognition and Rewards for the employees to maximize employee satisfaction & motivation.
7. Undertake annual employee performance (SMART) target setting and conduct half yearly/ annual Performance Appraisal to ensure effective performance management.
8. Build cross functional teams and promote teamwork as the primary instrument in all activities.
9. Arrange for compliance of EDC and its employees with all Government Regulations in UAE.
EDC management will utilize the above HR practices to achieve the highest employee competence, satisfaction, motivation, and productivity levels to meet or exceed EDC’s Strategic Business Objectives. The organization will regularly measure HR effectiveness and drive continual improvement towards the above objectives.
This policy will be reviewed every 3 years for its continual improvement & suitability and will be amended if required.
