EDC developed and implemented a Procurement Policy to meet the following objectives:
To work with reliable Suppliers who will ensure that the quality of the products & services supplied be of the highest standard on quality, safety, and reliability.
To ensure wherever possible that the products sourced from Suppliers are unique to EDC in the markets that we operate in.
Suppliers is chosen in the respective field in terms of quality, sizes, volumes as well as access to the latest technology.
The Suppliers should be prepared to enter into an agreement with us on the quality of the products supplied and with a clear understanding on the procedure to redress the problem should a need arise for such, in the case of repetitive fault.
The Supplier should have access to the highest standards of testing and the products/services should meet the quality requirements as it is confirmed through their registration.
Annual Supplier Performance Rating and Annual Supplier Satisfaction Index will be measured.
Systemized and controlled Lead Time – PR to PO, for the jobs below 50,000 Dhs.
Ethical Purchasing – No gifts can be received from suppliers by any employee with extreme transparency with EDC top management for such cases.
Following a robust analytical step through Technical Committee, Purchasing Committee and Opening Envelope/Tendering, for better qualification assurance and accuracy in decision making.
EDC will aim for Long Term Contracts with suppliers to benefits the most from the relationships.
11.Integrated management systems (Quality, Environment, Health Safety and Road Traffic ) Standards requirements will be enforced on the suppliers, where applicable.
12. The main objective of inventory management is to maintain inventory at appropriate level to avoid excessive or shortage of inventory because both the cases are undesirable for business.
13. Procurement savings, to drive down procurement costs, improve supplier terms and decrease product prices. Throughout procurement technics and negotiating the best terms and conditions.
This policy will be reviewed every 3 years for its continual improvement and suitability and will be amended if required.
