EDC is committed towards utilizing technology to enhance and improve employee productivity, employee learning, customer service & satisfaction, revenue optimization, cost optimization, working practices & patterns, and internal and external communication to achieve long-term and annual strategic objectives. The technology will include all technologies, such as vehicle technologies, driver training technologies, information technologies, etc.
These will be conducted by way of the following activities:
CEO/All HODs/Head-IT will undertake Technology Requirement Identification to forecast the need for future technologies across all the functions and locations of the organization.
Based on the technology requirements, CEO/All HODs will acquire products and services (that include necessary latest technologies) or other HODs will recommend to IT/Procurement - other technologies beneficial to the company - for necessary acquisition. IT/Procurement will source the technology as required to make it cost-effective.
HODs to ensure the acquired technology is well utilized (including if required, conduct training of employees and customers) for the benefit of the organization.
HODs will undertake technology replacement decisions - based on market availability and cost-effectiveness. HODs will review the technology decisions.
IT/Finance departments are responsible for ensuring that EDC follows Technology (Intellectual Property/Copyrights) Protection requirements. The EDC HR ensures that all employees are bound by confidentiality (as agreed in their Employee Appointment Letter)
IT Manager is appointed to lead the development and implementation of this policy.
This policy will be reviewed every 3 years for its continual improvement & suitability and will be amended if required.
